ASTHMA CLINIC
The practice organises special asthma clinics to assist with the diagnosis and management of asthma. Our asthma register helps our doctors and practice nurses monitor patients listed on our our call and recall system.
Once correctly diagnosed, we aim to eradicate the symptoms. Through treatment, the objective is to maintain the best possible long-term airway function and reduce the risk of severe attacks. In children, we aim to achieve normal growth. We help patients in the use of self-management plans
Our practice nurses can provide an easy to understand explanation of asthma and establish a proper diagnosis through tests. Much information on asthma is available for patients - and this can easily be accessed on-line.

If you think that you may have asthma, please do not hesitate to get in touch us. Once diagnosed, a plan can be devised so that the condition can be managed and monitored - ideally so that symptoms can be eliminated.
